Pal To Ntsc Patcher

There is no 'generic' gamepatch to patch a game from/to PAL/NTSC.

Most games can easily be converted by replacing the default.xbe with another version with the right video output. Some games (especially with videos) might not run smooth because of this.

And no, don't ask where to get XBE-files. sleep.gif

I just spent 3 hours figuring out how to do this.

It worked for me on one game It might not for others.

Dowload a free hex editor. I used XVI32

open the default xbe of the game

Go to location 0x224

If it's a pal game it should say 04

Change this value to 01 by just typing it in

Put the xbe back and try it out. If it works let me know

I've just checked this on a game but I don't seem to have the location 0x224, is this a standard and i'm just opening the wrong file?  Or does the loaction of the region change?

It's not possible that you "don't have" location 0x224.  The locations are numbered sequentially starting from 1.  So for example, if you see location 0x220, just go 4 boxes to the right and that is 224.  When you click on a box, xv132 shows the location at the bottom of the window.

I checked this in a PAL game and the value of location 0x224 was indeed 4.  How on earth did you figure that out?

Edit: However, the game still does not launch in NTSC mode.
