I had a similiar problem once using the advanced av pack, and the s-video cable that came with it. I was living in a dorm room, so all the wires were behind my refriderator, so often times, I would get lines on the screen, that looked like folds. The problem went away after I replaced the bundled s-video cable with a shielded s-video cable.

So I suggest trying another component cable, preferrably one that's thick and shielded.

I need your help once again, today i bought a new HDtv, and i was playing with 480p, 720p and 1080i and all settings worked fine... but when i boot the xbox, i saw a bunch of vertical lines on the whole scree, then i ran a PAL game wich was 576I and the same thing... for some reason on Interlace video setting i`m getting this vertical lines, i don`t know what this could be. This lines don`t move at all, it`s not like a wave of interference.. they just stay there like they painted.

At first i thought it was the TV, but then i tried my dvdplayer on 480i and it worked fine...

Any ideas?

PS, 1080I, even is interlace works ok. The problem is with 576 and 480 Interlace.

This is my tv and i`m using MS HD pack, the oficial one... the one who have the cables integrated to the box... the 2nd release.

And this is more or less what i`m getting, this is not a actual pick of my prblem but shows very well the vertical lines.

This happen only on 480i and 576i from the xbox, i did try my dvd player at 480i and it work perfectly.. so i`m certain it has something to do with the xbox, wich is weird, coz on my none HD tv i didn`t have this issue.. 480i was displayed perfectly, and it was the only type of display so i`m certain.

Hmm, sounds like you are doing everything correctly.

I've seen some people report this before, but I'm not aware of any fixes.

Obvious things to check, cable connections, XBOX too close to TV.
