Go to Settings, Highlight Parental Control, When the screen pops up that says Enter Pass Code press: X, Y, Left Trigger, X. You'll be taken to the parental controls screen where you can disable the passcode previously entered.

The parental control feature can be found in the normal MS dashboard, but only in NTSC Xbox consoles. So you won't see it if you have a PAL Xbox.

I have a pal machine, I switched to ntsc mode and Still un able to disable the parental lock. Any help? I need to change my xboxdash for the original ntsc? This is very  grr.gif

The PAL machines do not have Parental Lock, hence no reason to remove it smile.gif.

If you change the original dvd for another you can't see a movie with the external dvd from another region with dvd2x or with msdashboard.
I fix it my self using my orignal thompson again.

I had an old version of EVOX on my UK PAL xbox for a while, and usually kept the xbox in NTSC mode because most dvd's and DIVX are region 1 / NTSC

I updated my evox to the latest version, and a week later wanted to watch a PAL DVD, so switched the EEPROM to PAL output

Now, I can only watch U rated films as parental control kicks in  biggrin.gif

Question,

How do you disable parental control on a PAL machine that has no parental control in the settings?

will a reinstall of the C drive from a backup work?, do USA dashes differ from UK machines (i dont think they do)

Cheers
