Lcd (tft) Specific Problems
« on: December 16, 2005, 04:06:00 AM »

Hi,

have tried my homemade VGA cable for some days now and it seems it have some probl on LCD monitors.

Cable works fine on CRT's (tried 2 of them), but when i connect it to a LCD it wont detect any signal at all.

Funny thing is that when i insert the VGA connector of the LCD into a pc-videocard or x2vga (with xbox/pc not powered on) it detects it and monitor goes in somekinda connected mode (the little message on LCD screen disappears)

This happends on both LCD monitors.. , could there be a resistance or bridge betw. 2 pins in the vga that must be connected, to let the monitor goes into that mode maybe?, because both LCD's work on x2vga, 720p no probl.

Running junkmonkeys vga ind 5001 bios on a 1.4 focus

It would be great if this could be fixed, cause i plan to build one of the LCD's as a DIY projector.

PS. Tried both in VGA (1+3) and HDTV (2+3) with or without LM1881 sync sep, 480p and 720p enabled.
