Sure
Here

Just ask specific questions and most people will answer nicely.
The easiest way is to run the movies with Xbox Media Center.
To get the movies on your xbox harddrive FTP them over to the F:\Movies folder.
Personally I just burn them to CD or DVD and play directly off of the disc. Sometimes if I don't have enough AVIs to fill up an entire DVD I will stream over the network.

Thanks.

I don’t have movie folder on my F:/ so I guess I can create one, if that is correct. How do I get the Xbox to recognize AVI files and VCD image files?

Not sure about how to play from an ISO or similar image off of the Xbox. You can however use Daemon Tools and mount the image to a virtual CD/DVD-Drive on your PC and stream over the network. You obviously would have to enable sharing on the new virtual drive.

It sounds good by using the virtual drive and to ftp VCD movies into the Xbox. I will try that. How do you deal with AVI files?

Just drop the avi, iso, whatever video format files into the E:/Video directory of the XBox, and use XBMC to play them.

Yes it will play ISOs made from DVDs or VCDs.

And, just in case you get mixed up with the Video folders suggestions, keep in mind that you can have them anywhere you damn well please...
Just launch XBMC and look them up -whether they are on the local filesystem or on a remote folder...

if you get Xbox Media Center onto your xbox, you don't need to put movies on the Xbox's hard drive at all, you can stream them off a networked PC or other network storage device.  All you have to do is go to your PC and share your movies/music in the normal Windows manner, then XBMC will be able to find them and play them.  It's totally worth doing!  I'd say it's 99% of the reason I got/use my Xbox.

Streaming is what I was talking about earlier.
There are basically 2 steps
1. Enable the share on the PC
2. Use XBMC to stream from that share
If you don't know how to do those let us know and we can point you in the right direction.
No, it is not like FTP.

You are still a little off.
Slayers is a compilation of programs. 1 of which is XBMC. You can use Slayers to install XBMC to your Xbox if it isnt already there. Then you shouldn't need the Slayers disk anymore.
Streaming means to play the file when it is stored at a different location. Such as having a movie saved on your computer and use the Xbox to play it. You dont need to burn it to a CD or FTP it. Just tell the Xbox where the movie is and it will play.
To do that you have to give permission first. You need to go to the folder containing the folder where your movies are stored. In example: if you have your movies stored in "C:\Documents and Settings\jimb\My Documents\My Movies\" you would go to the My Documents Folder. Then right click on the My Movies folder and click "Sharing and Security" A window should pop up and in that window check "Share this folder on the network" Then give it a friendly name such as "My Movies" and hit ok. You do not need to do the wizard if it asks.
Then on the xbox open the program XBMC. Go to My Videos, then workgroup (smb) network, then hit "A" again at the next screen (it should be the name of your workgroup, then hit "A" again at the next screen (it should be the name of your computer) then browse to the My Movies folder. In there should be all of your movies. Select the one you want to watch and hit "A" and enjoy and realize the real reason to own an Xbox is for XBMC.

My Xbox has Xbox Media Player (XBMP) instead of XBMC. I’m not sure if that makes a different. I went to my Xbox then I went to my videos. I was looking for workgroup (smb) network but I couldn’t see it. Do you think I have the wrong version?
