Rca Audio L/r Common Ground?

when wiring the pinned VGA tut i noticed that there are individual grounds for both the left and the right audio channel when wiring up the RCA connections,... I was wondering if this is a common connection inside of the xbox and if it is ground or not?  so that I can hook them both up to the shielding in the xbox.
