this problem could be caused because a tv has a much higher value of pixels than a computer screen would which is why u have to have the correct bios as leeloo said in his tut.

A quick search of the specs of your two monitors show's the Dell's max resolution of 1024x768 and the Mitac's claims it support 1280x1024. I couldn't tell if that was native, and it probalby isn't because most 17" monitors don't actually have that many pixels, but at least it supports scaling. That's also why it looks blurry to you probably.

If the Dell really supports 1280x1024 it should work, even if it is through scaling. But when I did my search on the specs, it said max 1024x768.

BTW I was mistaken above and will correct what I said. Most 17 and 19 inch flatpanels have a native 1280x1024 resolution. And therefore should be able to display an HD 60HZ 1280x720 mode without scaling.

Now scaling will still come into effect when dealing with 480p mode and even more sophisticated deinterlacing will be needed in 480i mode. In fact, I've found most monitors won't do interlaced.

Can you get the Mitac to report what resolution you are displaying when the XBOX is working on that monitor?
