i think thats what the cable is called.  can i connect my xbox to my dvd player via component (with an hd mode on) and then connect the dvd player to an hd tv tuner card and get an hd signal?


it would be setup like

xbox (hd mode enabled)---->dvd player----->high def tv capture card

i hear most cards dont support component so i came up with this idea.
