see pinned topics, check if ur monitor can SoG, build cable. done. (you will need to run a VGA BIOS or dr oldschools NKpatcher). If u have a 1.6 box you will need the x2vga

if you have a SOG monitor, all you need (if you dont want to solder) is an xbox HD cable, a triple RCA joiner, and a male RCA to 15pin VGA plug adapter.  using the joiner to put these two together, you can plug your xbox into your PC and use the VGA bios to output to the monitor.

that would be about $20.  $10 for the component cable, $3 for the joiner, and $7 for the converter.  all from ebay, much cheaper than the x2vga.

only problem is the KOTOR and other games output wrong.

anyway, as a note, the ONLY way the cables work is that they output in HD formats.  Otherwise the screen cant read them.

Odd that I cannot edit my post. But, a cleaner and simpler option maybe:

MS HD Pack
Component to VGA cable.

Would this work?

thats what i said.  most RCA to vga adapters have male RCA plugs on both ends, thus the joiner.

Got my X2VGA+ yesterday morning. Easy to setup and run. 480p looks a bit naff on my 181T 18" LCD, but 720p looks beautiful.
