Trying 480p...

We have an old Philips Plasma tv, one of the first. It doesnt support HD or something I guess, but it has a resolution with 480 horizontal lines.

So I thought, why not try to get a 480p picture from my xbox on this screen, still not sure if it even IS possible. I have a modded PAL xbox, so I set it to NTSC using Enighma Switchdisc. Connected my homemade Component cable and booted up with the X3 chip enabled. I saw a black screen, until the UIX dash loaded and appeared, but NO bootup animation...weird. In the dash I set the 480p to enabled and tryed to launch a game from hdd. Again only a black screen appeared! I tryed to load XBMC and again a black screen appeared, but xbmc was running, I could still controll it on my XLCD, weird! I rebooted with the chip disabled and the original ms bootup animation did appaer! I could run any games like this because all my original games are PAL.

Somebody know if I am doing something wrong / forgetting something / or just not possible on a this TV?

Im not able to explain this in detail but the intro animation isn't 480p.

Is it possible that your build of xbmc doesn;t have a skin for 480p/720p

If your TV doesn't support HDTV, it simply is not possible.
