hmmm sorry about that thought the Creative Inspire 5.1 5200 systems had a decoder. what outputs do your speakers have? the standard analoug or do they also have a Digital/optical input?

No, don't do that, it will just end up sounding weird.

The only way to get the 5.1 sound is with the help of a Dolby Digital Decoder.

Here is the true solution by logitech:

It is cheap (few bucks), and can be found here:

(at the time of posting, they were on back order because it was so popular during the summer - I am having them notify me when it is in)

It delivers true multichannel sound, so that you can get full on 5.1 from your console/whatever system you wanna hook up to it!
