A/v Not Working...
« on: June 12, 2005, 09:32:00 PM »

Had my xbox at a friends house the other night, and everything was working fine. Packed it up and brought it home, plugged it in the next day and powered it on and it boots, but with no audio or video. It also would only boot to the mod, even with a short button press that should boot to the stock bios.

It's a 1.6 with an Aladdin 4064 chip, but I have since removed the chip while trying to diagnose the problem (it now boots to the ms bios ok - or at least, I assume that's what it's doing). I've tried different av cables, different tvs, checked all relevent solder joints, no obvious physical damage anywhere, no missing components, no solder splash or loose bits of solder floating around. It wasn't hit or dropped in transit either.

I've tried everything I can think of, but still no audio or video.

If anyone has any ideas on where to look next, it would be much appreciated.
