480p Widescreen

I used Waffle Tools to install the UXE softmod package.  I also used it to patch the msdash so that I can change my video settings.  I have my xbox hooked up through the official MS HD pack component cables to a Panasonic AE700 native 720p projector.  Here is my problem, with 480i and 16:9 widescreen turned on in the MSDash menu widescreen works for me in all games that have 16:9 support--except halo 2.  However if 480p is enabled all of the games play in 4:3 aspect.  720p works just fine in the two games I tried it with (Enter the Matrix and Soul Calibur 2).  Any game that supports widescreen and 480p should be able to run in 480p with a 16:9 aspect ratio right?  Right now I have to go disable 480p everytime I wanna play a game in widescreen and then go enable it back every time I am playing a 4:3 game that I want to play in the more crisp 480p.  Does anyone know how to fix the problem I'm having?  I thought maybe it was supposed to be this way at first but when I couldn't get Halo 2 working in widescreen I knew something was up.  I will truly appreciate any help whatsoever--Thanks.

Hmm that is odd.  So they are just running with the perspective skewed so that when I stretch it out to fit widescreen they are correct?
