the ones labeled "component" are HD cables... if your TV doesnt have those, you dont have HD
Component inputs do not mean HDTV. Please do not confuse people with that. There are plenty of good old tube TV's with component inputs, I have a philips one, but it is not HD. It can't even do 480p. There are three types of component connections.
Interlaced component - a.k.a. component; Y, Pb, Pr; Y, Cb, Cr; 480i
Progressive component - a.k.a. component; Y, Pb, Pr; Y, Cb, Cr; 480p
Broadband component - a.k.a. component; Y, Pb, Pr; Y, Cb, Cr; wideband component; 1080i; 720p; HDTV
A Tube TV (only 480i) can have interlaced component. A EDTV (only does 480i, 480p) will have progressive components. An HDTV (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i) will have broadband components.
