All of the soundtrack editors are insanely buggy.  Redjoon fell off the planet about 3yrs ago and the other one that was taken over by another coder has runtime errors and bugs galore.  The only efficient way to play/store tunes in the ms dash is to use its own music ripping feature.  There is a 100 soundtrack limit that Jbone was trying to break but that dash isn't together yet.  Best advice is to use XBMC to rip music or stick with the ms dash ripping.
