High Def & Digital Audio Help!
« on: June 14, 2005, 03:12:00 PM »

Well I am still trying to work this one out.  Since my last post I have tried setting 480p in the M$ dash (both triggers and both thumbsticks).  My tv recognizes the 480p and I can tell because I can now adjust the upconverter to 540p or 1080i where I couldnt before.  It seems that the picture is worse since activating 480p in the MS dash. I tried turning it on and off a many times for comparison but the quality is not there just like in my previous post.  there are faint diagonal lines running the screen, slight flicker, and ghosting.  I dont get this unless one of the high def modes are active in the M$ Dash!

This is very frustrating.  It is acting like maybe there is a bad signal or something but what is wierd is that the picture is perfect (and at its best) when all HD modes are off in the M$ dash!  I am almost at my wits end with this.  Is there anybody who might have some  advice for me on this matter?  Again, I would really, really, REALLY appreciate it!

I have a softmodded box so I am pretty sure it is the factory bios.  I guess I will try another HD pack and see what happens.  I'll keep ya posted.

I'm not a softmod expert but I thought you still had to load a bios, like with PBL or something.  blink.gif

You are both right about the bios.  I used an installer for the softmod (Blackwars) and I am pretty sure it uses nkpatcher although not sure wich of hand.
