Does the cable even light up?  Sounds like your A/V pack is toast.

Have you tried the optical out with your mod chip disabled?--original bios with a game disk in the tray?

get a ms hd pack, you never know what you get with third party stuff!

Ive read countless complaints of third party packs not workin, listen to ze_olc. Use MS packs only
