Converting Unknown Adpcm Waves Into Normal Waves
« on: April 30, 2005, 12:36:00 PM »

Okay, in the PAL version of TimeSplitters 2 for Xbox, there are two folders: Data (contains Story and Arcade) and Music (all music). In the music file are a lot of waves. After I extracted them and dragged them into Foobar2000, all the waves had durations that looked correct. When I attempted to play them, however, I got errors. dmPowerAmp says they are 44100KHz, 2 channels, 4 bits, approx. 3 to 1 compression ratio, and unknown ACM codec. Windows Explorer says they are 396kbps waves. I've tried renaming the extension to mp3 and wma, but of course that didn't work.

I've uploaded one sample song to YouSendIt, and I'll edit my post once it's done and I have the link. Can someone help me identify what kind of file it is, or link me to a program that can convert it to an uncompressed wave?
