Widescreen On Standard Tv
« on: April 27, 2005, 11:21:00 AM »

i actually have several questions:

1.  are xbox games similar to dvds in that they display more horizontal content in widescreen than standard video?

2.  can you display xbox games in widescreen proportionally on a standard tv with the black bars above and below the widescreen picture?

3.  can changing the video display mode in the retail xbox dash hose a softmod?  i have a dualboot softmod using nkpatcher, virtual c and uxe

thanks for your help

1) ur wrong about dvds...it displays the same content...just it will contract it if your on a regular screen...it will compress from the original 16:9

changes to the video aspect shouldn't affect your setup.

to be sure though you should be running a virtual eeprom.

You can enable widescreen in the M$ dashboard and switch the TV to use 16:9 mode if your TV has such an option.
