Disable Flicker Filter And Soften By Force?

Is it possible to edit a bios to force the flicker filtering and soften filtering off even for games (that also have settings for them built in by the developers)?

I'd like to get sharper images out of the xbox on a normal CRT, and I know the flicker filtering is removed when any progressive mode is used.

Not a biggie but just wondering.
