Sound, But No Video
« on: April 01, 2005, 07:13:00 AM »

Chipped a brand new 1.6 xbox last week with Duo-X2 and fitted big harddisc at the same time.

Was tested thoroughly before sending out to my customer.

He's been messing with the Video output as he has a HD TV. Says he set it exactly the same as his last xbox.

It was loaded with standard Slayers 2.6 but I fitted the lastest XMBC as he requested. Which I believe is the 26-03-05 release.

He said he loaded the PAL/NTSC selector and selected NTSC(VIDEO MODE BOOT DISK)
Then loaded XMBC and set these settings 480i 720i 1080i

Now he says it was still working after this, but shortly after he was getting no video,

Now the problem is...

If you boot it up with the chip disabled by pressing Eject, you hear the xbox splash screen, then I believe when it boots to the MS Dash, you get a flashing green/red.

I have flashed it with a BIOS that removes the animation when it boots up so you don't get audio when you boot it up with chip enabled, but putting a game in will boot and you can hear the game playing.

What will the problem be and how do I fix?
