Hardwiring Av Pack
« on: February 03, 2005, 10:58:00 PM »

i just got this intec HD AV pack, but it also has s-video and composite so i figured it would be a perfect candidate to hardwire into the back of the xbox

anyway, i was hoping someone with a bit more experince could help me figure which pins on this go to what pins on teh xbox

user posted image

the conenctors at the top are the RCA composite video, stereo audio and component plugs, the bottom are digital optical audio and s-video

the arrows point to the headers where the actual cable plugs in, the horizontal on the left connects to the composite, stereo audio and toslink connectors, the vertical on the right connects to the component and s-video plugs

any help would be apprectiated, if this mod ends up working out ill post pics for a tutorial

BTW sorry for the crappiness of the picture, my CF reader isnt working so ci ant get pics off my dig camera so i had to use my phone to take the pic

Well I don't know if it'll be of any help, but check out JaredC01's Ultimate Guide to Hi Def Output.

well, i can figure out the rest too, i just dont know which pins are + and which are - and im not too keen on crossing wires on my xbox (come to think of it im not even sure the TOSlink thing i did isnt backwards)

Give me a few minutes, I'll see what I can do for you... and by the looks of it, the SPDIF is backwards.  I'll post a new pic for you here soon.

Here's what I came up with...  Everything SHOULD be correct.  If you run into any problems, just let know.
