Red/green Flashing Lights On 1.6

Ok here is the problem...i had a modchip installed and got the Red/Green Flashing Lights On my 1.6 xbox and i had no video.so after messing with it for about 5 hours i took the freaking modchip out, reassembled my xbox, and powered it on. i get power.frag. power.frag. power, then the red/green flashing lights...i have no chip in or nothing. just my xbox components. can somebody tell me what those lights signify and y this is happening????TIA
