I guess it's time to update Ava on my xbox and give it a shot at 720p and 1080i. But reading posts so far, it sounds like the PQ is lacking @ 720p and 1080i in ava's dvd playback.

Anyone else notice a lack of PQ between the a the 480p hacked ms dash dvd player vs ava's 720p/1080i dvd player?

As an update, thanks to Foe-hammer for the Avalaunch suggestion. I don't keep up with that dashboard and had no idea it upconverted to 1080i.

I recommend using 720p, and disabling 1080i in the avalaunch menu. IMO 720p looks better, and is less buggy then 1080i.
