Avalaunch Dashboard Resolution Stuck

I orignally had my xbox enabled for all the HD modes.  The avalaunch dashboard was in the highest resolution and it looked awesome.  The resolution was set at 1920x1080.  Yesterday I put in a DVD to watch and after I finished watching the video was all screwed up.  The avalaunch dashboard wouldn't fit on the screen anymore!!  What caused this?  I basically can't see the whole dashboard like i used to be able to in the same mode!!
