Which Vga Adapter?
« on: December 10, 2004, 05:18:00 PM »

I want a VGA adapter so that I can play my xbox on my pc moniter with hdtv quality, and use my pc speakers (I have a really nice subwoofer).  Which would you suggest to me? I don't plan on using any other device beside my xbox to play on my moniter, and comparing the prices is my last resort.

sure the x2vga is pricey, but just out of ease to use and video quality alone its worth so much more

Doesn't the VD-Z3 require a Hi-Def pack to be used in conjunction with it, making it the more costly option?

did you decide yet? im still trying to make up my mind. i like the idea of being able to plug any component device into the vd-z3 but realistically id probably never use that. i like how neat and compact the x2vga looks and the fact it switches the audio source too, where with the vd-z3 id have to plug and unplug audio cables every time i switched... too hard to pick. is there actually a noticable difference between the two once they are plugged in and running? or is it mainly setup options that seperate them

Seems to be more votes for the x2vga+, and I figure that the x2vga+ goes right from the xbox to the vga cable whereas the enhanced vd-z3 requires a component video cable (I know it comes with one), and there may be some loss (idk) with the extra connections.  Idk if I shoud consider the ratings (like OXM) as well.
