Dd 5.1 Audio/video Not Sync

I dont know if this is normal but when I enable digital in on the xbox the sounds are not  sync with the video.
If I put the sound of the TV on and DD5.1 I hear 2 sounds that are not synchronized, the TV plays the sounds a second before DD5.1.
This really irritates me because when I play games the sounds are too late for the actions I take.
Is there a possiblity to make the sound played earlier, about 1 sec?
