Hip Pad Lcd And X2vga

Doing my research on the hip pad lcd mod I found that you can't use it and have the x2vga outputing video to an lcd monitor. I also read somewhere that you'd need to install a switch in order to get it to work. Where would I put this switch? Someone said between the jumped 9 and 10 pins. Is this right? Any help is greatly appreciated.
