DD and DTS gets passed on thru the analog connections? Hmm...I thought at best, you'd get Pro Logic (II?) thru the RCA since it's analog audio...of course I don't have any setup to find out if what I said is true or not.

Dolby Digital & Dts Decoded On Xbox

i dont know if this helps or not...

The xbox outputs the DD or DTS signal via the advance/hd packs optical output. You must have that and an optical cable hooked up to a receiver device that will actaully decode the DD or DTS signal your xbox is outputting. if you are using RCA connectors (red and white) there is no way to get digital sound through them.

you can however get Dolby ProLogicII from the RCA cables. basically that is a 4 or 5 channel (4 or 5 speakers) surround sound where you get the same sounds coming from the multiple speakers. whereas, DD and DTS are 5 destinct channels of sound and if it is 5.1 (.1 being a subwoofer for low frequencies) each speaker outputs a different sound...

Really hard to find but great speakers for that price! They sound a litle bit more ''sharp'' than the speakers I had before (wharfdale's, I still use them for music and stuff biggrin.gif) but they sure don't sound bad!
75 wat RMS should be more than enough and even at a loud volume it doesn't use more than 45 wat.

If you have more money or if you think about listing to music on these speakers (belive me your better of buying some REAL speakers for music and cheap 5.1 speakers for movies/games) then you could think about the big brother of the A806 : A920 (http://www.mustek.de...dukte/aa920.htm) I think the decoder is the same but with more power and I can't say anything about the speakers, I haven't heard them yet.

Yeah they do look good but I cannot locate a supplier of them here in NZ.  DSE sell Mustek stuff but not those.

Also I like Creative and the Cambridge Soundworks were good speakers for their size The Creative Inspire 5600 will decode Dolby Digital 5.1 plus DTS which the Mustek doesn't mention.   THanks for your input though smile.gif

Has anyone out there bought the Creative for xbox ?

XBMC decodes that for me wink.gif

Anyway try a Google Search
