No Audio/video

Have a V 1.0 xbox that all of the sudden quit working.  With xchip installed it turns on and boots up, but there is no sound or video during bootup.  Can hear the DVD and Hardrive clicking, the screen will flicker and it will reboot.  Does this over and over.  Without the chip, it basically does the same thing, but will FRAG after a few attempts instead.  Tried the coma console solutions, but that didn't change anything.  So I assume it isn't a bios problem, but something to do with the video out.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
