X2VGA+ is great - but more than $30 - does do optical audio though.

Humm, a bit pricy but looks excellent.
I was googleing around and saw 2 different pictures... one showing 2 VGA connectors and 2 mini jack connectors... and the other showing 1 VGA connector, Red, White, and Yellow RCA jacks, and an optical connector.  Is that just the other side of the box or is that the difference between the + and the original version?

2 VGA and 2 mini-jack is x2vga+

The one with RCA's is x2vga

I have an X2VGA, was shipped with a free seperate video switcher. It works AWESOME.. at least it did. Then I got banned on Xbox Live and apparently this older version isn't compatible with the new Xbox I purchased and the colour is a purple/pink hue.. now I guess I have to purchase the X2VGA+, the product is that worth it. I've bought other VGA xbox adapters and this one is the greatest of all.

Thanks... if I get an xbox I will get this as soon as I can.. hell if I got a keyboard and mouse for it then I could really feel like I was PC gameing tongue.gif

I also purchased the x2vga+ adapter it works great.

My friend achieved just about the same thing with a MS HDTV pack  and a component to VGA converter for $5(converter). That was $2.99 + $3.00 shipping.

Hi, I wounder if I have to use a special bios if I gonna use my home made, XBOX-to VGA-cable? Or does it work without?
I havent got my sync splitter chip yet so I havent got i to work on my pc-screens.

Will it work with any bios?

I have not seen his set up running on a computer monitor. But I did see it on his projector and it looked good. However the native resolution of his projector is 800x600 so whenever anything above that is displayed through the projector, like 720p , the projector has to change the pixel ratio.. which makes the picture look worse.




If you already have the MS HD pack it would definitely be worth the $2.95  to check it out.

Again I am not sure if it is the exact same one he got but it sure looks like it and it's about the same price.

I play mine on an old 17 inch monitor when I am at work. It kicks ass. Playing Tony Hawk Underground2  at 720p is great. It is like a whole new console.

Well the main game I would be playing is Halo 2 which maxes out at 480p, how does it look on CRT?  Is it worth $30-$70 for CRT for 480p.  And if it's about the same quality then I think that $30 for a HD Pack + a coverter (coulden't do ebay) would be better than $65 for the other.
