Hey, I am gearin up for halo 2 and I need a set of speakers (5.1 or more) to go with my new hdtv. does anyone know a good set?

price range is $400-$600

Well there is a set of speakers for the xbox that sell for around 150 and they had them on screen savers on techtv These are suppost to be really good

Well if you can buy them from FRY's and live near one they will take it back if ya don'tr like them as will most stores and considering you were willing to shell out 400-600 for them you wont lose much by trying them

green really wont match anything in teh room (except my alienware). it'll look so outta place. i'm lookin for sumthin in silver or black. and i want it to use it for home theater purposes not JUST halo 2 (but mainly halo 2, lol).

Well it looks nice but all you really want is the speakers right or are ya lookin for a progressive scan dvd player

i am mainly looking for just speakers, but this seems to be a great package

i just put my 5.1`together from other speakers ive had over the last few years, these main front speakers are made with a 4 way crossover, the speaker below the tweater is a bose i took out of an old acura legend that was totaled, the 7" mid is a retail store intercom/elevator music speaker ,12" sony woofers, i also have another 12" alpine sub thats behind the tv, i took the electrical parts out of the piece of shit 6" rca powered sub and wired it to the alpine, i rarely go to the movie theatre anymore unless anymore this all kicks ass big time, i love the rears speakers especially all the late nights i spent playing ghost recon, you can really hear when people are coming from behind you or from the left or right i recomend everyone sould be playing on a surround system
