Xbox Video Settings Help

I have the same problem. Luckily my TV can display both PAL and NTSC.
But it's quite strange anyway, because my TV only supports Widescreen with PAL-Signal-Input. Now any PAL game run NTSC and some NTSC titles run in PAL. Is there nobody who knows how to set the settings back? Where are they stored? In EEprom or TSOP? And the strangest thing of all is that this only affects games. EVOX and XBMC run correctly in PAL Widescreen!?! (as they should)

It's strange indeed. I'm also having this problem. In my original Xbox dash I have chosen the widescreen option in the video menu. As a result both EvoX and XBMC are displayed in widescreen on my PAL Xbox. Some games are also displayed in widescreen, but some however (like FIFA, NBA Live, Halo2) refuse to be displayed in widescreen although they should. I am not sure if these latter games are NTSC, but could this be the cause? And what would be the solution?

Edit: In this thread the problem is also brought up, but no solution is offered.

BTW I know for sure that the problem is not my television...

Anyway, can't you just go back into xbmc and change the setting?  Yes I realize you can't see the screen so you'd need to memorize the path to the settings.

Also, why can't you FTP?  That shouldn't be a function of your video settings.

smile.gif  But I already saw that site.  laugh.gif  I oversaw the NBA Live 2005 case, but Riddick, Burnout3, and PGR2 are supposed to be 16:9.

I just checked and the problem is solved... The problem is my television!  tongue.gif  It is supposed to recognise the 16:9 output and automatically jump to the "wide" setting of my tv screen. Abovementioned do not do this. In these cases I have to select the 16:9 tv setting by hand, but the output from the xbox is 16:9. I have just checked it.

Damn... Right now I am very glad but also feel a little bit stupid...  unsure.gif Sorry! laugh.gif
