It sounds like it could be in the wrong region mode.  Have you set your dash to auto region change?  Is it in the right mode (you can use most dashes to auto set, check options), or you could use Enigmah Videomode switchdisc to change to correct setting.  NTSC for America or PAL for europe

I thought I had purchased a broken game and installed xbmc incorrectly when i was getting scrolling.  i have an hdtv ready tv and assumed that all the component inputs were HD...not so.  To make a long story short you will get scrolling if you have your xbox enabled to display HD signals (when available in the game or app) and plugged through a tv that can not display the signal.

At least I figured it out on my own eventually biggrin.gif

You may want to check with someone else that has a similar setup and you can go through the settings "blind".  I messed mine up once and had to call a buddy to walk me through the settings.  It definitely sounds like a settings problem if your dash is scrolling too.
