Hi,

I would like to make a quick personal review for anyone intrested in this product. On their official web site, www.x2vga.com, they are offering links to those sites that had reviwed thier product but when I was doing my own research on the xbox related forums on this unit I have problems finding the right info especialy from PAL point of view. I did get few pieces here and there but at the end I had decided to order it and try it out for myself. At that time I was about to purchase the HD widescreen TV and I had allready made up my mind for the sony's KVHR36M31 (XBR) but I wasnt too sure if i was rushing into something that I might regreat in 12 or 18 months (price wise) so I wanted to get piece of mind and give this unit a try. And boy wasnt I happy that I made that decision. This addapter does everthing that they say it'll do. Im using it on my 19" Sony G420 and going from PAL 60 to HD mode of just 480p....untill you see it for urself u wouldnt belive the difference it makes. The colour, the detail, sound from my 5.1 Creative speakers, the overall picture quality its so good I wouldnt be able to go back and play on normal TV again.  But for us living in PAL countries there is a catch - It doesnt work on PAL Xboxs unless you have a PAL machine thats thinking its NTSC one. Theres few ways around this using save games exploits and such but I wouldnt be going into that. On their web site they even state that it doesnt work on PAL Xbox and therefore its not covered by the replacment warrant for that reason. But if your Xbox can work as NTSC I highly recomend this product. Instead of buying a brend new tv I have saved around $3000 with this addaptor. I hope that those that are intrested in this product have found my review usefull. Thx for reading this.  <

Nice review, I think this will serve better in the audio/video forum but I will keep your review on record in the pinned "master review list" thread.  <
