nope, cos to play mult-region you need to edit the ms dash region check code, and to do that you need a modded box.

Because to run 3rd party software on the xbox it needs to be signed, but only MS can sign it, also if you do manage to get the software runnning eg: from  the Hard drive, you need to eject to dvd drive to put you dvd movie in, but each time you eject the dvd drive the xbox resets...this is why DATEL probably gave up with there region free disk, beacuse they could not solve the problems I have mentioned....The PS2 does not reset on eject.....

Not to say that the PS2 is any better, after all I own an Xbox, but PS2 has this http://www.lik-sang....oducts_id=1623

A "DVD Region Free" swap disc, how come XBox does NOT?

Yep, it's a sign the XBOX is more advanced.  There's a lot of anit-hacking and anti-copying technology in the XBOX that never existed in a console before.

That's why we all have modchips.  rolleyes.gif

it cant be that advanced, considering my xbox can run unsigned code, without a modchip, or a flashed tsop. and its virtually bug-proof. and even better, i didn't have to pay any money to mod it. tongue.gif

I'm not a softmodding expert, but according to the second post in this thread:

A bios loader as FBL, PBL or PBL Me Too can load a BFM at startup and give us all the features people with a modchip would have. For the normal users a softmod will work just fine.
