Ghosting In Progressive Mode
« on: July 31, 2004, 11:52:00 AM »

I purchased component-cables (not original Ms) for my PAL-xbox. Installed them and switched the box to NTSC (enighma selector). Enabled 480p and 720p in msdashboard.

I output to Optoma H30 projector. Everything was well and I had extremely nice and clean 720p (1280x720 progressive) display on the screen. Offcourse downscaled in the projector to 800x600 but still.

Then I reorganized my setup to other place and something must have been changed. Now all progressive-modes has terrible ghosting on the rightside about 2-3 pixels wide and the picture is unwatchable.

I tried with different projector and it's same. So the problem seems to be in the xbox. PAL-mode and NTSC 480i looks ok.

I also disconnected and reconnected and checked all the cables and they're ok. With same cables used on dvd-player  in progressive-mode I have no problems. So it is definitelly the xbox faulty here.

Any ideas what's broken and how to fix it?
