Apparently the dude who modded it was the same mate who farked his ps1 lol ! So any thing on the mobo i should check ?

Check the current bios your using in XBTOOL and see what the fan speed is set to. XBTool only supports up to 4981.xx & Evox M7. EVTOOL supports M8 bios.

I have the same problem! My modyfied xbox only plays like 50% the volume, that my not-modyfied box plays.
I just changed Bios, but still the same... i would really like some help too.

No he has the normal cables , i have the ADV pack & normal cables , if i put my normal cables in to his box its still stuffed , but if i plug in my ADV pack and use optical it works fine.
