The main difference between NTSC, the television standard used in the United States, and PAL is that NTSC delivers 525 lines of resolution at 60 half-frames per second, whereas PAL delivers 625 lines at 50 half-frames per second.

PAL is better, because thats what i have.

PAL can kill anyone they want!  PAL cut off heads  ALL the time and don't even think twice about it.  These guys are so crazy and awesome that they flip out ALL the time.  I heard that there was this PAL who was eating at a diner.  And when some dude dropped a spoon the PAL killed the whole town.  My friend Mark said that he saw a PAL totally uppercut some kid just because the kid opened a window.

And that's what I call REAL Ultimate Power!!!!!!!!!!!11111

Didn't you recently get an X2VGA???
Of course you probably know that you need to switch to NTSC to use it.

However regarding PAL, keep the PAL60 option enabled if your display supports it in order to get the best framerate from compatable PAL games. XBMC will see you have a PAL Xbox and display in PAL50 res, which is what you want in order to be able to say, watch a PAL DVD.

I know. But we get RGB Scart, which is better than S-Video, and it looks great on bigger sized TV's still smile.gif

And older systems don't support HDTV at all,so scart/rgb is the only way to go....well they do but hugely expensive de-interlacing and the rest will be needed, and will most likley not look as good as pure rgb on a standard res tv.
