Well, I don't know what country you are in.  It doesn't sound like you are in the US.  I can only talk about US products.

With that said, I personally don't like any of the products you listed, and would point your towards this:

At $175 USD this seems like a good deal, should sound better, and is a lot more flexible than the ones you listed:
http://www.samsclub....jsp?item=765519

This supports all the standard surround modes including DTS.  I couldn't find a picture of the back panel though.  You want to make sure you get at least two optical inputs...one for you XBOX, and one for your DVD player if you add one.

Ok, I just read a review of those speakers and I don't even thing you can connect them to the XBOX.  huh.gif

The XBOX usually uses an optical connector for surround sound.  For non-surround sound (well, analog surround) you can use a left/right RCA connector.

Those speakers have some funky 3 mini plug connectors?!  WTF is up with that?  I've never seen a surround amplifier that split surround into 3 mini plugs.  Anyway, that won't work with the XBOX.  blink.gif  unsure.gif

Here's a pic of the weird non-standard 3 mini jack connectors:

What kind of fucked up non-standard connection is that?!  I figured it would just take an optical digital audio cable.

I don't see how you could connect that to an XBOX!  It must not even have a DTS or surround sound decoder?!

The only way you can plug that 3 mini jack speaker system into your xbox, is if you buy a decoder like THIS

The xbox plugs into the decoder thru optical or spdif (i think that's the right name), then the 3 jacks plug in the decoder too, and the decoder divides the sound thru all the speakers...

sorry for the bad english... i'm almost sleeping . had to study all night for a school exam   unsure.gif

hahahha  biggrin.gif almost evry 5.1 sound card supports that connection.
anyway u get an adapter with the 640's so u can connect the rca cables.
and u can only get dolby surround with xbox. 5.1 with pc

those 3 1/8th jacks are pretty standard actually, they're used in most 5.1-7.1 pc speakers.  if you have a sound card, look at the back of it.  the green is front, the black is rear and the orange is center/sub. on mine anyway biggrin.gif
you could try getting a 1/8th inch to rca converter then using the green and black plugs, but then you might be wasting some speakers.  or something!

Weird.  I thought they would all be optical.  I use laptops primarily which don't seem to have this.

if you're looking to spend around $100-120, the logitech z-560 would probably be best http://www.logitech....,CONTENTID=5044
its only 400watt 4.1ch, and for the amount of money you have to spend, these are nice

I have the z-640s and right after I bought them I was very disappointed. The box says that you can enjoy 5.1 surround sound from DVDs and video game consoles. This is not true. These speakers are not for a home theater, I learned, but for the pc. The three 1/8 inch cables are for analog surround sound. The only way to get 5.1 surround sound of the the xbox by means of an optical toslink cable. An optical cable brings digital surround sound. So, to get 5.1 surround sound out of the z-640s, you will need to convert the digital output form the xbox into analog for the z-640s. To do this, I bought the Creative Labs Extigy The z-640s put out an amazing sound- it's makes it sound even better since they only cost $60-80! You can spend around 120 to get the z-640s and the extigy, or buy the z-680s for 250. For a bedroom, I would definetely recommend the z-640s with the extigy. For a home theater system, howver, the z-680s would be better. Its nice to have all the optical inputs built in. The sound quality does not go drastically down as the digital sound is converted into analog. The three plugs are three stereo plugs- one left/right front, another left/right back, and the last one center/sub. The z-640s do not have a decoder- they need the sound decoded for them. That's where the extigy came in handy. It's quite an awesome product- well, at least to fit my needs.

EDIT: Here is the Tom's Hardware Guide for the Extigy
