Question About Sony Hdtv.. To Buy Or Not?
« on: June 20, 2004, 01:52:00 PM »

Don't know about those sets, specifically.

In my sig, is a list of games and what HDTV modes they support.

Make sure your TV supports both 1080i and 720p on the component inputs.  Most XBOX games only support 480p and 16x9, however several support 720p and a few support 1080i.

I have seen some FPS drops in 1080i games, which is why I think there are few that support it.

Good luck!

Question About Sony Hdtv.. To Buy Or Not?

thanks mr.ed  beerchug.gif

you know what? i live in athens/greeece, and through the official sony website(sony.gr)
it doesnt even mention hdtv properties about those models..or any model at all..

this means that i have to go there and find out for myself....

i was thinking of getting the box with me and test it on site..

eventhough i got the advanced scart cable, i will eed the av cable, right?

will i find on the sony manual FOR SURE details about the hdtv modes that each tv has?

also if i understood corectly, the most important -for now- is 480p and 720p?

i believe that next year when xbox2 arrives there would be a sense to start expecting 1080p games?

if yes, then my tv should have ALL THESE modes, right?
