You can buy "video stabilizers" which effectively remove Macrovision.

I had to get one for a set some time (a LOOONG time) ago since Macrovision would cause tearing on it.

They are fairly cheap. 14.00/ea or so.

so if a use a RF mod would it work and take macrovision off instead of the rca cables?

No that won't work, it will still trigger the macrovision.  Since you have an integrated VCR connecting your player to your TV, is like connecting it to your VCR and then your TV which triggers macrovision.  Integrated TVs like yours do not offer a way to bypass the VCR and go directly to the TV, so you have no option, except to buy a TV without an integrated VCR or get something like a Sima GoDVD device.  You need to look for something that removes Macrovision 1 and 2.  Most of the cheaper devices <$50 US only remove Macrovision 1.  I don't know if hte GoDVD device I mentioned removes type 2.

Good luck.

Macrovision is basically a supression of the refresh SYNC signal level.

The Composite Macrovision "encrypted" (yeah right, encrypted my ...) signal lowers the level BEFORE it hits any modulator.

The answer is NO the modulator will NOT help.

As I mentioned you are better off with a cheap video stabilizer.

This will do the trick and some will improve the picture to boot.

It's highly unlikely, but if you found a schematic for model, you might be able to identify leads into the TV circuit that could be tapped into like RCA connectors, however, chances are, they didn't bother using standard RCA voltages and just wired everything together on the circuit.

Maybe this is too simplistic... But get a mod chip and install the an X2 bios.  They disable Macrovision at the box.
