Even if his monitor supports sog, the xbox will not work properly; colors will be all green.  In order for it to work your monitor must support sog, and you must use the vga bios (and your xbox must be a ver1.0 or 1.1 for the vga bios to work).  There is something disabled in the xbox's video chip that makes the colors turn all green when vga is applied; it's just not a simple as making a straight cable like it is for the GC and DC, for vga.

You should buy 1000 sets of those cables and sell them for profit.

I was reading and learned that its only the PAL xbox tha need the bios, for it to be able to syncronize with the vga. My monitor does support SOG.  IF this is true, in my case I won't need a vga bios.

If not, why is the bios still needed?
Also whats the refresh rate at which its being outputed  from the HD Av pack?
