480p, 720p And 1080i Problem On A Pal Xbox
« on: May 17, 2004, 01:12:00 AM »

I see that the specs for that projector indicates that it is BOTH NTSC and PAL capable.

Have you switched it to NTSC or is this available in a menu?

Assuming that you are not exceeding the capabilities of the projector, "ringing" (you used the correct term), usually results from the signal being reflected back from the end of a cable.

In turn this tends to indicate improper TERMINATION or IMPEDANCE mismatch between the two devices.

Have you tried just using the cables that came with your MS A/V pack?  Are you cables unusually long?

Have you disconnected all other input sources/cables to the device at the same time to see if that makes a difference (this is similar to opjose suggestions who pointed to impedance or termination issues)?

The pack i'm using isn't an MS pack and didn't come with cables.  The component cables i'm using are 1.8m in length.

All other input cables are disconnected.

Thank you.

I am in australia too. I got one off ebay that had everything in one and it sucked balls major! so much ghosting. So i imported the proper pack from Liksang, it cost a fair bit with express post but you will love the quality! I use it on my 50" hitachi rear pro
