Here is progressive (480p) patch for mashed. Because it's so great in multiplayer and i have projector i decided try to patch it and after couple of hours finally found it. Here it is.

at offset fc6e5 (hex) change value 20 to 40 (hex)

or find first hex bytes and change them to second one.

c7 05 e4 a2 47 00 20 00 00 00 --> c7 05 e4 a2 47 00 40 00 00 00

Thanks Mate, this did the trick indeed! :D

BTW: in my version of Mashed the hex bytes read:

C7 05 74 9D 47 00 20 00 00 --> C7 05 74 9D 47 00 40 00 00

Top stuff! My Mashed was like Jacks also (different hex bytes)

How did you go about finding what to change?

just thought i would share something here so if you already know, or this is old, please don't flame because this was new to me.  you can use dvd2xbox and make acl files that will patch for 480p.  this way if you delete the game or whatever all you need to do is use dvd2xbox to recopy it to your harddrive and it will be 480p. here is an example:

# Game: Hitman3(NTSC)480p
# Title ID: 45530012
# Size: 2304.88mb
# Submitted by:

# 480p

Used IDA dissassembler took while to find it since i'm no hacked/cracker type of person. Sure i know intel assembler and that probably helped me alot. Also tried patching Broken Sword 3 but couldn't. There where many places in that code which looked like it would set video mode but didn't work.

If someone can patch Broken Sword 3 for me it would be much apprecitiated.

Also it's pretty odd you guys have diffrent xbe version. Good thing that value was still in still in same place in your xbe. And that's small miracle in it self :)

for all the patches except the one For DVDX if you replace
20 by 40 you'll get progressive only
20 by 00 you'll get autoselection.
for DVD RegionX replace C1 by D1

That was quoted from first page in reference to XBoxDash patching.

What does auto-selection mean?  Does that mean it will give me 480I if my TV supports 480I and 480P if my TV supports 480P??

Yeah, if you patch the file for progressive only, as you'd probably guess, it won't work on 480i only TV's, so it's better to make it auto.

Whoa... glad some people are actually actively looking and creating the hex codes...

For some reason I can't edit my original post to add the 2-3 other contributions I found in the mess the requesters made of this thread.

good to hear from you AdoptedDev smile.gif

unfortunately most of us are brain-dead when it comes to programming/disassembling sad.gif

but we/I would love to know what the 2 or 3 contributions you have are ?

hopefully Street Racing Syndicate or Sega Headhunter is one of them !

couldn't you just make a new post with the edits in it ?  just a thought.

cheers
