hi does anyone have the hex edit data to make buffy the vampire slayer 1 480p? it only outputs 480i. Thanks.

Follow up:

I found it!

I used the tools mentioned [IDA pro, xflirt, hedit]

Looked at the code here is the solution for those who may need it:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer:

Search for this hex value:

02 00 00 80 B4 00 00 80 03 00 00 80 04 00 00 80

Change it to this hex value:


02 00 00 00 B4 00 00 80 03 00 00 00 04 00 00 80

Like to thank all of the smart folk here that supplied the info in this thread to help me solve this problem. Took many hours, but it was worth the learning experience.

The "SetVideoMode" trick works for Family Guy!!!

Replace:

8B 57 28 50 8B 47 30 50 8B 47 2C 51 8B 4F 04 52

with:

50 8B 47 30 50 8B 47 2C 51 8B 4F 04 90 6A 00 90

the patch goes along the lines of

E8 56 84 0D 00 6A 20
with
E8 56 84-0D 00 6A 40
and
C7 44 24 38 20 01 00 00
with

So does patching these games stop the ones that switch to green from coming up green, or does it just allow games that don't come up in VGA at all to work in VGA?

I understand that soul caibiler 2 is 1080i for pal but only 720p for ntsc version of the game. Is there a hex edit to get 1080i?
