I have a generic hex patch that looks as though it might work on 80 - 90 % of the games, anything post 2002. Needs a bit more testing but looks promising - details soon

For now: 16 replacements, it involved re-organising the asm code a bit too!

If you are having trouble with the patch on confirmed working titles are they betas, different regions? Also i have been using a hex editor called HEdit. If you are using something else remove the - between the 30 and 50 that was left in by IDA.

Look for Hex: 8B 57 28 50 8B 47 30 50 8B 47 2C 51 8B 4F 04 52 and replace it with: 50 8B 47 30 50 8B 47 2C 51 8B 4F 04 90 6A 00 90.

Like I said not every game has this hex i believe it is related to which sdk was used to create the game. I'll have a look into the other games that this hex doesn't fix once we have the list.

Tried your hex code change on 2 480i games:

Scooby Doo Mystery Mayham - Couldn't find string
Playboy Mansion - Found and replaced string, but it still plays in 480i

I'll try a few more when figure out which I have that are in 480i still.

I didn't realise there was an issue with playboy mansion, my NTSC version is 480p. At least using the X2VGA.
