Any one know what can be wrong. I have a v1.2 with a excuter lite chip with m7+137 bois and a 160 gig drive and everything was running great and then I wanted to try to flash the tsop and took it all a part and A friend said a could do his so I put mine back together and cut the ide cable and it would not boot so I replaced cable and it will boot but no sound playing games for hard or dvd drive and also changed hard back to stock one and orginal tsop bois and have no sound still.

ok here is the problem

1. i hate to say it but your xbox is dead

here's why

when you install a mod chip into a xbox the mod chip writes to the tsop to engage sound this is permenite you cant get rid of it even flashing the tsop
so if you tryed to stock rebuild your xbox your screwed sorry

any help on this would be help full. If I let it sit all night it will boot and play games but no sound and then if i shut it down and try to boot back up it will have no sound or video.

If some one has a good eeprom backup could they pm and sned it to me

To all that said my board was hopeless. SOund came back to my box and I'm playing games again but now I brought a v 1.4 board tfor nothing

why would you want to flash the tsop if you had a modchip??

Wanted to pactice on my box before doing a few of my freinds but before attemping to flash it I flashed my freinds and never got there. And anyways I always see boards come in that I would want to try the mod in first before throwing it away

hmmm i mod a friends xbox with the exploites but now he sais his xbox plays no sound so i check this out in the search but what is the reason it wont work dint flash anything on his xbox just use the font exploit nothing more

just want to know where the problem can come from.
