QUOTE (beardo2003 @ Mar 21 2004, 11:57 PM)
It occurs in pal and ntsc mode.

The HDTV pack doesnt support PAL at ALL...which leads me to this solution.

I dont think you have the HD settings set on your box. Go to the MS Dash whilst your xbox is set to NTSC, and go under config > video, and set the HDTV options on.

Then give it a go and see what happens blink.gif

oook.

Know if your projector needs a certain option enabled or something? Mabye you should have a look in its manual if you have it around, things like this are usually stupidly simple things that make you feel like an idiot after jester.gif

I dont have another display device to test on but will try and source one. I can get hold of another xbox but its pal so wont be able to check progressive.

Ive checked all the cables and everything seems fine, theres no special settings in the projector, ive checked all of them. Im begining to suspect it may be the projector at fault.

I have a PAL xbox, set to NTSC, hooked up to a high def tv with the MS Hi Def pack and cables. I changed to NTSC video mode using enigmah, then went into MSDASH and enabled high def in stuff and it works perfectly.  biggrin.gif

Could it be that your projector does not support progressive scan?  unsure.gif

Is the projector an older projector?

I was doing a similar thing and had similar problems.  I used the VD-Z3 component to VGA adapter.

I hooked it up to one projector (via VGA) and it was great.  I hooked it up to an older one, and had a problem similar to what you have.  Only mine was all blue instead of green.  The older projector only had VGA, composite, and S-Video connectors.  The conposite is fine.  THe VGA is blue.

I am thinking that it is some sort of "synch on green" issue.

If anyone has a resolution I'd like to know about it!

well, the xbox sends out progressive signals for HD, and if the projector does not support progressive scan, it will be like trying to display progressive scan on a tv that does not have PS.

i think u may have to buy another projector with PS or elase u will have to live with the green tint..  sad.gif

How about you try connecting through an X2-VGA adapter instead? If it still does it with that, then we know where the problem lies, which would most likley be the projector.

I recently had the same problem with my HDTV.  It took me an hour or so to realize that I had accidentally set the input info in the set-up menu (on the TV, not the Xbox) to RGB instead of the YPrPb setting.  The Xbox was connected properly, and was in the right input in the back of the TV, but that little slip-up in the menu made the TV read the signal incorrectly.  All I had to do was change that in the menu and the picture was fine.  I didn't even remember messing with those settings...I must've done it accidentally when resetting my inputs.  I don't know if this helps, but hopefully your problem is something simple like this... Good Luck.
