i actually own a RTV-VEG that i bought a while ago before all of the newer VGA adaptors came out, like the X2VGA and VD-Z3...although in it's own time it was a competitive product, personally i would not recommend it to anyone! i myself am actually thinking about getting a VD-Z3 to replace it. the quality does not look nearly as good as some of the screenshots people have posted of their X2VGA and VD-Z3's in action...furthermore, the RTV-VEG states that it can also play cable television through the unit and into your VGA monitor and it can with no problem except on important one, it doesn't decode broadcast audio. i swear to god, in the manual that came with it states that word for word!! i think the main application of the RTV-VEG is maybe for hooking a VCR or DVD deck upto a VGA monitor which would work because you could plug the audio in with RCA...bottom line, it sucks. and for the price you can do alot better believe me...the VD-Z3 is half of what this thing cost..
